Wrinkles are the inevitable effect of the aging process. They can result from sun damage, environmental factors, damaging free radicals, and gravity. We offer Botox to help reduce and reverse these harmful effects.
Botox, or botulinum toxin, is a medication that produces temporary weakening of muscles. For facial rejuvenation, we use Botox to decrease the motion of the facial muscles that create wrinkles or unpleasant expressions, such as the vertical lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet.
We can help stop the formation of wrinkle lines and improve the appearance of existing lines. Injected in very small amounts, Botox relaxes the muscles. Injection prevents the release of acetylcholine at the nerve-muscle junction and thus prevents muscle contraction. This will lead to a temporary relaxation of the muscles and results in improvement of the dynamic wrinkles of the face and neck.
Muscle weakness starts from 24-48 hours after injection but the clinical improvement will be seen 7-10 days after treatment. The treatment lasts for 3-6 months and repeated treatment is necessary to maintain results. Botox can be used to treat jaw reduction, neck bands, and under arm sweating.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring sugar molecule found throughout our bodies and mostly stored in our skin, connective tissue and eyes. HA helps the skin retain moisture and increases hydration in the skin, making it appear plumper, fresher and moisturized. As we get older, naturally occurring HA in our bodies decreases, just like collagen and elastin, resulting in the dehydration of the skin.
Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) is a type of temporary dermal filler, that once injected into our skin, attracts water, which helps to restore volume, recreate lost structure, and replenish our bodies’ natural sources of HA. This, in turn, reduces the overall sunken or sagging appearance of the face, revitalising and adding volume to the skin and softens the overall look of fine lines and wrinkles.
As we age and go through different changes in our lifestyle, the skin, fat, muscles, bone in our face begins to thin and lose volume. This results in either a sunken or sagging appearance of the face leading to fine lines/wrinkles, facial folds, and thin lips. HA fillers can be injected in the right areas of the face to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, folds and helps create harmony, structure and volume to the face and lips. This temporary dermal filler can last up to 18 months, depending on the area treated and individual factors, and effects of the HA injectable are seen immediately.
There are a variety of HA dermal fillers available and it is important that the patient is aware of the type and brand used in any treatment. We use a range of high quality fillers and only the worlds leading brands of hyaluronic acid facial fillers. Each type of filler vary in density (thickness), which can determine the area it can be used in and what it is designed for, whether it is to provide a lift, contour, profile balance, fill in lines or deep facial folds, or enhance a particular feature such as the lips.
Radiesse is a very effective agent for many areas of facial soft tissue augmentation and is associated with a high and well-established safety profile. It is currently the only resorbable filler on the market that immediately replenishes lost volume while at the same time stimulating the production of the skin’s natural collagen for long-lasting results. Treatment effects have been clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients.
Skin tags (acrochordons) are harmless growths that can appear anywhere on your skin, but often develop on the neck, eyelids, or underarms. They may be the same color as your skin or darker. Some are pink. Others turn red when irritated. You may see one dangling from a stalk, while another is firmly fixed to the skin.
These growths can appear anywhere on the skin, but they usually develop where skin has been rubbing against skin, jewelry, or clothing for some time. That’s why they usually occur in one or more of these areas:
Breasts (beneath)
Eyelids
Groin
Neck creases (or where clothing or jewelry rubs against the neck)
Underarms
Skin tags are also commonly found on the sides, abdomen, or back.
Because they develop where skin rubs against skin, people who are overweight, pregnant, or have loose skin are more likely to get skin tags.
You also have a higher risk of developing skin tags if you have diabetes, metabolic syndrome (high blood pressure, unhealthy blood sugar levels, extra fat around your waist, or unhealthy cholesterol levels), or a blood relative has skin tags.
It’s important to keep in mind that these growths are harmless but can be quite irritating and may be a borden to many.
Depending on the quantity may determine the time or number of sessions needed to remove them, also it is important to know that if changes are not made to modify the underlying cause then it is more than likely that more may develope over the years.
Microneedling may help with issues like:
Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation)
Large pores
Reduced skin elasticity
Scars
Fine lines and wrinkles
The procedure takes about 45min to an hour and a topical anesthetic is used to ensure a more comfortable process.
Acne is an inflammatory disorder of the skin, which has sebaceous (oil) glands that connects to the hair follicle, which contains a fine hair. In healthy skin, the sebaceous glands make sebum that empties onto the skin surface through the pore, which is an opening in the follicle. Keratinocytes, a type of skin cell, line the follicle. Normally as the body sheds skin cells, the keratinocytes rise to the surface of the skin. When someone has acne, the hair, sebum, and keratinocytes stick together inside the pore. This prevents the keratinocytes from shedding and keeps the sebum from reaching the surface of the skin. The mixture of oil and cells allows bacteria that normally live on the skin to grow in the plugged follicles and cause inflammation—swelling, redness, heat, and pain. When the wall of the plugged follicle breaks down, it spills the bacteria, skin cells, and sebum into nearby skin, creating lesions or pimples.
For most people, acne tends to go away by the time they reach their thirties, but some people in their forties and fifties continue to have this skin problem.
Acne causes several types of lesions, or pimples. We refer to enlarged or plugged hair follicles as comedones. Types of acne include:
Whiteheads: Plugged hair follicles that stay beneath the skin and produce a white bump.
Blackheads: Plugged follicles that reach the surface of the skin and open up. They look black on the skin surface because the air discolors the sebum, not because they are dirty.
Papules: Inflamed lesions that usually appear as small, pink bumps on the skin and can be tender to the touch.
Pustules or pimples: Papules topped by white or yellow pus-filled lesions that may be red at the base.
Nodules: Large, painful solid lesions that are lodged deep within the skin.
Severe nodular acne (sometimes called cystic acne): Deep, painful, pus-filled lesions.
The following factors may increase your risk for developing acne:
Hormones. An increase in androgens, which are male sex hormones, may lead to acne. These increase in both boys and girls normally during puberty and cause the sebaceous glands to enlarge and make more sebum. Hormonal changes related to pregnancy can also cause acne.
Family history. Researchers believe that you may be more likely to get acne if your parents had acne.
Medications. Certain medications, such as medications that contain hormones, corticosteroids, and lithium, can cause acne.
Age. People of all ages can get acne, but it is more common in teens.
The following do not cause acne, but may make it worse.
Diet. Some studies show that eating certain foods may make acne worse. Researchers are continuing to study the role of diet as a cause of acne.
Stress.
Pressure from sports helmets, tight clothes, or backpacks.
Environmental irritants, such as pollution and high humidity.
Squeezing or picking at blemishes.
Scrubbing your skin too hard.

As you age, it’s common for skin to loosen and fat deposits to build up in the chin area. This double chin effect is usually caused by a combination of aging and genetics, and it can happen to anyone, no matter their weight. While a double chin is a common occurrence, it can greatly affect your self-confidence and the way you see yourself.
Fortunately we have several approaches or non invasive and minimal invasive simple in-office procedure that can be used to sculpt and shape your jawline. These procedure is performed under local anesthesia and only takes about 40-60 minutes to complete!
Down time is about 1 week and it will be necessary to use a chin strap to ensure results are satisfactory.
Loss of skin elasticity is one of the many signs of aging. Some of the most common causes of premature loss of skin elasticity are post partum, loss of excessive weight, weight gain, lack of nutrients, amongst others.
We have a combination of treatments developed by our in house doctor that will help regain your skin elasticity.
It is a treatment that involves infusing peptides into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) line. Peptides are short sequences of amino acids that are essential for a variety of physiological processes in the body. It is a synthetic peptide used to treat a range of health concerns.
